Step 1 – Go to the West Virginia Secretary of State.
Step 2 – On the main search page, you may type in the corporation you are looking for by Organization Name or by an Agent or Officer’s Name. If you would like more options you may go to the Advanced Search Option.
*When making a query by organization name, be sure to use as many keywords and terms as possible as the system will return all matching entities.
Step 3 – On the listing’s page, you will be able to see all the matching corporations and be able to view it’s: Name, Organization ID Number, Organization Type, Effective Date, Termination Date, Termination Reason, Charter, and the Class. Click on the blue text link to view it’s data page.
Step 4 – On the entity information page, you will be able to see all the information located at the Secretary of State’s about the corporation including it’s: Business Purpose, Charter County, Charter State, At Will Term, At Will Term Years, Authorized Shares, CapitalStock, Control Number, Excess Acres, Member Managed, Par Value, Principal Office Address, Officers, Mergers, Subsidiaries, and the option to view all previous filings in Adobe PDF.
