Step 1 – Go to the Vermont Secretary of State.
Step 2 – Use the search tool to lookup a corporation by name, or you can use the search by individual by typing in his or her last name.
When looking up an entity by name, you want to make sure that you make your entry as unique and descriptive as possible. The database will query and return all matching businesses in the results.
Step 3 – On the results page, you will receive your listings in alphabetical order and segregated in boxes as: Corporation, Tradename, Limited Liability Companies (LLC), Partnerships, Reservation Records, and Registration Records. Click on the name of the corporation that you are finding in the green text link.
Step 4 – You are now on the Information Page. Here you may view all the data on file with the Secretary of State about the specific corporation including it’s: Status, File Number, Type, Incorporation Date, State of Incorporation, Fiscal Month End, Registered Agent Name, Registered Agent Address, and the Directors.
