Step 1 – Go to the Missouri Secretary of State.
Step 2 – You may search by the following options:
Business Name – When searching by name it is very important to use as many terms as possible to narrow the list of results. You have the option of looking up the name by keywords: starting with, all words, corporate name availability, sounds like, exact match, and only active corporations.
Step 3 – When you reach the listings page you will be given a preview of the entity: Name, Charter Number, Type, Status, and Incorporation Date to help you determine which is the right organization. Click on either the name or charter number to see all the information on file with the Secretary of State.
Step 4 – You have completed your search and now you may view all the data including the corporation’s: Charter Number, Status, Incorporation Date, State of Business, Expiration Date, Last Report Filed, Registered Agent Name, Registered Agent Address, and any previous filings. If you are the owner you are able to seek an Order of Good Standing and Certified Documents.

Step 1 – Download and complete the Application for Name Reservation.
Step 2 – Attach the $25 filing fee and send to the Secretary of State at:
