Step 1 – Go to the Delaware Secretary of State.
Step 2 – Type in either the LLC’s filing number or name. If you are preforming a search by name be sure to be as specific as you can be. The database will pull all LLC’s that contain the keywords selected.
For our sample search, we are going to be looking up all entities with the keyword ‘Delaware’.
Step 3 – Select the LLC that best fits your search results. If you had too many returns, you may want to go back and add a few keywords to narrow down your search.
In our sample we are going to click on the first LLC that shows up wich is the 4th selection down (Delaware Academy LLC).
Step 4 – Now you can see all the public information available at the Secretary of State’s office. As seen above, you are able to view the LLC’s: File Number, Formation Date, Type of LLC, and the Registered Agent’s Name and Address.

Foreign – $200 – For LLC’s located outside of Delaware that would like to conduct business within the State.
Step 2 – Attach the filing fee and send to the Delaware Secretary of State located at: Delaware Division of Corporations, 401 Federal Street – Suite 4, Dover, DE 19901.
Your LLC will be sent to you in the mail upon successful filing within 10 to 14 business days.

How to Reserve an LLC Name in Delaware
