Use the Concord Online Database provided by the Secretary of State to search Business Entities in Connecticut. The search is includes but is not limited to all: corporations, general partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies (LLC), and limited liability partnerships (LLP). Search either by Business: Name, Business ID, or Business Filing Number.
Step 1 – Go to the Connecticut Secretary of State.
Step 2 – You may search the corporations database to look for a specific entity by: Name, Business ID, or Filing Number. If searching by name, you want to make sure that you specify as much as you can the corporation name that you are looking for as the system will pull every word that contains the keywords entered.
Step 3 – You now have a list of the corporations that contain your keyword(s) as well as the business: ID, Status, and Address if applicable. Select the name to see further information.
Step 4 – After selecting, you are now on the entity information page that publicly shows the corporation: name, address, state of incorporation, date of incorporation, registered agent, registered agent’s address, and the residence address of registered agent.
How to Create a Corporation in Connecticut
Step 1 – An applicant must first fill out one of the Articles of Incorporation form listed below.
Domestic Non Profit – $50
Domestic Profit – Most Popular – $100
Foreign (Profit and Non Profit) – $385
Religious – $50
Step 2 – The applicant will also have to attach the filing fee listed above and attach to the form.
