Step 1 – Go to the Alabama Secretary of State.

Step 2 – You should be brought to a webpage that looks like the one on the video below. From here you may search all corporation names and entities that exist or existed in Alabama.

How do I create an LLC?
Step 1 – If you are in Alabama you will want to fill in the Domestic Articles of Organization.
If you are outside Alabama you will want to fill in the Foreign Articles of Organization.

Step 2 – Attach the filing fee. Domestic is $100 and Foreign is $150. Make payable to the Alabama Secretary of State.

Step 3 – For domestic, send the fee and completed form to the Probate Court Location closest to where you reside.
For Foreign, send to the Secretary of State located at: Secretary of State, Business Services,
